Security Dog Handlers
Our security dog handlers are fully trained to NASDU standards and are available for deployment across the UK. Security dogs provide an effective visual deterrent, helping to identify intruders swiftly through scent, sight, or sound. As an approved contractor by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), we hold both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, ensuring our services meet the highest standards. Our handlers are fully insured and comply with the Dog’s Act of 1975, demonstrating our commitment to safety and professionalism.
Trained to handle a variety of security tasks, our dog handlers work alongside our security officers and the emergency services to manage incidents. They are dispatched from our control room, with the goal of containing or defusing situations quickly and efficiently. Our security dogs are skilled in intruder detection, searching, patrolling, and handler protection. They are particularly effective during the night when their acute sense of smell can quickly alert to the presence of intruders.
Detection dogs
Our detection dogs are highly trained to assist with various types of detection, making them invaluable in security operations:
Drug detection
These dogs are trained for both passive and proactive detection tasks. They can be deployed to locate drugs on premises, providing an efficient solution to combat drug-related crime. We also offer drug awareness education and demonstrations to schools and other vulnerable groups. All drug detection handlers undergo standard CRB checks for enhanced reliability.
Explosive detection
Our explosive detection dogs are specially trained to detect substances that make up explosives, including flares. With continuous training, our dogs maintain the highest standards, ensuring discreet operation without intimidating the public.
Static security dogs
Static dog units are highly effective, offering a significant visual deterrent while reducing the need for additional static guarding personnel. Our dogs are trained in article tracking, building searches, find and locate, and handler protection, making them a reliable choice for a variety of security assignments. Whether for regular patrols or special security measures, our static dogs deliver high levels of protection with minimal manpower.
Other specialist dogs
In addition to our standard security services, Vistech Services offers specially trained dogs for a variety of unique tasks. These include personal protection, rescue operations, tobacco detection, firearms detection, cash protection, illegal immigrant detection, and cadaver search. Our handlers are equipped to meet the specific needs of each assignment, ensuring complete security and peace of mind.
